Internal Inspection

Remotely deployed corrosion mapping solutions provide quantitative wall thickness data for pipework and structures. Ideal for use where access restrictions mean manual techniques offer no / limited inspection coverage or results, AISUS have developed unique ultrasonic inspection systems for deployment in various applications. ‘Off the shelf’ systems are readily available for applications including caissons, risers, J/I-tubes and process pipework. Coupled with our experience in automated deployment solutions we have the capability to develop bespoke tooling for more challenging projects.

External Inspections

AISUS crawlers are remotely-controlled, ultrasonic wall thickness corrosion mapping tools. Developed to inspect inaccessible, remote components and structures in harsh challenging environments, our crawlers are deployed from the topside for underdeck, splash zone and subsea inspections.

Remote Visual Inspection

AISUS utilise state-of-the-art visual inspection systems to deliver inspection solutions for a variety of applications, from remote visual inspection of plant, pipelines, caissons, tanks and small bore vessels, to large platform leg inspections. AISUS work with clients to provide the right solution, using our experience to deliver the visual inspection data they need. Our fleet of cameras can be deployed at short notice to deliver the highest quality real-time footage during inspections at all stages of asset lifecycle, from commissioning, through operations, to decommissioning, controlled remotely by our experienced and competent engineers. With camera / crawler systems suitable for use within explosive atmospheres, or deployment to depths of up to 300m, we can engineer solutions to challenging projects. Our in-house design team can also assist with bespoke tooling for access to complex pipework and structures.

Cleaning and Surface Preparation

AISUS offer a range of specialist cleaning solutions which tackle challenging cleaning requirements, ensuring optimum inspection conditions. Cleaning and surface preparation is managed by our experienced personnel delivering effective and efficient results. AISUS have an extensive understanding of cleaning Caissons, J-Tubes, Risers, Conductors and Drilling Riser Joints all from internal. In addition to this, we have developed a fleet of tooling to support external cleaning solutions, deploying these from crawler systems or ROVs. Depending on the scope of work, cleaning / surface preparation can be required to allow close visual inspection or successful collection of ultrasonic wall thickness data.

Design and Engineering

Our engineers have extensive experience in the planning and implementation of remote inspection solutions. We are able to carry out each stage of the design and development process in-house, allowing for a quick and efficient turn-around. Focused on delivering accurate and repeatable inspection results, AISUS’ core services include ultrasonic inspection, visual inspection, object retrieval and fluid sampling solutions. To assist with the delivery of these services, our expert team has the capability and experience to design bespoke solutions for a variety of challenging inspection and retrieval projects. Working to our client’s specifications and agreed concept, our team provide a complete bespoke tooling package from design, manufacture and testing, through to installation and field deployment.
