In line with its growth strategy, Ak-Kim established Akferal Company as a 50/50 partnership with Feralco, the second biggest water chemicals and coagulant producer in Europe, in 2013. Having purchased Gizem Frit company, one of the biggest enamel and ceramic frit producers in the world, Ak-Kim penetrated into a new market in 2015. The Company targets to become a global chemical company with a turnover of USD 1 billion by 2023.

Ak-Kim extended its operations in Water Solutions field in 2015 with the Hollow Fiber Based Ultrafiltration Module made of high quality PVDF manufactured with the Company's own formulation.
The hollow fiber based ultrafiltration module produced by Ak-Kim performs advanced physical treatment without changing the chemical properties of water. As the cutting edge treatment method, Ak-Kim Ultrafiltration Module can be used in the treatment of waste water in the water treatment plants of municipalities and industries, and enabling conformance to receiving environment discharge standards. Ultrafiltration modules are also used in waste water recovery systems, process water and drinking water treatment, and preferred in sea water desalination.
Leading the ultrafiltration module production sector with its pioneering investment in this field within Turkey and surrounding countries, Ak-Kim manufactures the hollow fiber based ultrafiltration modules in Yalova plant with a covered area of approximately 2.800 m2.

Akkök moves from one success to another in the real estate sector
Akkök Holding has been engaged in the real estate sector since 1993 and has pioneered in the shopping mall construction business with the Akmerkez project in Turkey. Akiş Gayrimenkul Yatırımı A.Ş. was founded in 2005 to operate in the Shopping Mall investment and management sector. Akiş was granted the title of Real Estate Investment Trust last year. The Holding maintains its investments in the real estate sector with its Akkoza, Akasya and Akbatı projects.
