Product Testing Services

Product selection and sourcing is a critical step in the development process. Utilizing standard test methods or unique client specific test methods, ATS will facilitate your decision making process by evaluating key performance, durability, compliance, and safety attributes. Products can be evaluated on their own merits, client driven criteria or in a comparative environment which provides insight on similar products offered in the marketplace.

Reverse Engineering Services

You know what you want to make. We can help you make it. Applied Technical Services’ extensive experience with metallurgical testing, mechanical component failure analysis, and material selection makes our engineers valuable resources for your reverse engineering projects. Whether you need the full design or just a portion, ATS will analyze the existing components to assist you with completing your engineering drawings. This may include base metal identification and heat treatment condition, manufacturing processes, plating or paint analyses, and full dimensional inspection. Our engineers perform testing per industry and ISO standards, and they can customize the final report to conform to the oversight organization’s requirements.

Structural Engineering Services

Our Structural Engineers are experienced, hands-on field and office professionals with capabilities in damage assessment, evaluations, inspections and repair designs for structural and concrete, structural steel, structural masonry, pre-tensioned and post-tensioned concrete. Our problem solving investigations and repair designs for vehicular impact, high-wind/storm damage, corrosion, decay, cracking and more of structural materials, construction errors, and distressed properties.

Polymer Testing Services

Polymer analysis employs both physical and analytical methods to verify the chemical, mechanical, and thermal properties of a polymeric material. These properties are instrumental in making sure that the polymer part will perform as required by the end user. For example, we can verify if the parts are the proper material using FT-IR, check for contamination using DSC and then determine if the parts are degraded using the melt flow indexer. Additionally, mechanical tests such as impact, tensile, and flexural strength are useful in determining the mechanical integrity of a part.
