In the food and beverages industry, ceramic membranes made by atech innovations gmbh are used for filtering or clarifying beverages such as beer, wine and fruit juices, and for fractionating milk proteins.

Treatment of emulsions (cooling lubricants) and wash waters from mechanical production. Filtration of used emulsions and wash waters with ceramic membranes: reduction of wastewater volume, cost reduction, generation of filtrate suitable for discharge into the  sewer or wastewater treatment plant, compliance with discharge requirements.

Digestate treatment by filtration with ceramic membranes. The growing number of biogas plants makes it increasingly difficult to return the fermentation residue substrates to green spaces or arable land. By using atech ceramic membranes in a biogas plant, a significant improvement in wastewater quality can be achieved. This significantly improves the performance of the downstream RO system.

Gelatine filtration with ceramic membranes from atech ensures that neither the finest bone fragments nor hard connective tissue get into the end product.

Clarification of fruit juice with ceramic membranes. Coloured juice concentrates with stable clarity can be produced from coloured juices. The process not only improves the product but also provides savings in production costs.
