Hazard Identification: Recognizing Hazards Training Course
This course will help you recognize common workplace hazards and explain procedures followed to prevent and report incidents. Did you know that hundreds of thousands of work-related injuries and illnesses are reported to OSHA every year? When a worker is hurt, it can lead to missed days from work or a new job assignment due to being unable to complete a current task. Common workplace injuries include fractures, sprains, bruises, lacerations, burns, and more serious injuries such as amputations, loss of an eye, or even death. In a recent annual study by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the top two industries with the most work-related fatalities were the transportation and construction industries. Veterinary services and nursing were the top industries with non-fatal injuries and illnesses, respectively. These are not the only four industries where injuries, illnesses, incidents, and close calls occur; they occur across all industries, both public and private.
Construction Safety: PPE Selection and Requirements Training Course
Learn how to select, use, and manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the construction industry. "Do I have to wear this? Is it protecting me? From what, and how can I be sure?" In this course, we`ll not only help you navigate the world of PPE but also understand its significance in the bigger picture of workplace safety. We`ll dive into the guidelines laid down by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) – including the General Duty Clause, 29 CFR 1910.132, and 29 CFR 1926.28 – ensuring you understand how to protect yourself and others from job-related hazards.
