Automess - 6150AD

Automess - Model 6150AD - Dose Rate Meter

6150AD is a trademark registered by us in Germany under number 303 55 582. The 6150AD is a calibratable dose rate measuring device in a robust, watertight die-cast aluminium housing. The built-in counter is used to measure photon radiation (X-ray and gamma radiation). As the letters “AD” in the designation indicate, the device has an analogue and digital display with automatic range switching. Warning tones and the acoustic single pulse detection are emitted via a piezo sounder, which is integrated in the housing. A connector pin of the probe socket serves as a serial interface and can be used to transfer and evaluate the device display (dose rate) to a PC. The 9 volt battery (IEC 6LR61) included in delivery lasts for approx. 3000 operating hours.

Automess - Model 6150AD-15/E and 6150AD-18/E - Downhole Probes

The calibratable gamma probes 6150AD-15/E and 6150AD-18/E are used in conjunction with a dose rate meter 6150AD to measure photon radiation (gamma and X-rays) in the quantity of H*(10). Geiger-Müller counters are used as detectors. The probes only work with the “/E” versions of the 6150AD. Both types of probe differ in the type of built-in counter and thus in the measuring range. If dose rates above 10 mSv/h are not to be expected, the probe 6150AD-18/E with its more sensitive detector should be preferred, otherwise the probe 6150AD-15/E with a range up to 10 Sv/h.

Automess - Model 6150AD-t/E - Teletector Probe

TELETECTOR is a trademark registered by us in Germany under number 303 55 581. The calibratable Teletector Probe 6150AD-t/E is a portable probe which, in conjunction with a dose rate meter 6150AD, is used to measure photon radiation (gamma and X-rays) in the quantity of H*(10). The two Geiger-Müller counters at the end of the telescope offer a very wide dose rate range. The counter for the low area is located behind the window in the front of the counter housing and can also detect beta radiation. Switching between the two counters is automatically done by the 6150AD. The power supply comes from the 6150AD.

Automess - Model 6150AD-b/E - Calibratable Scintillator Probe

The calibratable Scintillator Probe 6150AD-b/E is a portable probe which, in conjunction with a dose rate meter 6150AD, is used to measure photon radiation (gamma and X-rays) in the quantity of H*(10). A cylindrical three by three inch organic scintillator is used as the detector. Special advantages of the scintillator probe are the large energy range and high sensitivity. The scintillator probe is therefore particularly suitable for fast and accurate measurements of small radiation levels, down to the natural ambient radiation and even below it. The probe also owes its name to this property: The “b” in 6150AD-b stands for “background”, the English term for the ambient radiation. In German, this is sometimes referred to in German as “natürlicher Untergrund”. Further areas of application are e.g. scattered radiation measurements and measurements on picture tubes or other sources of X-rays.

Contamination Detection Probes - Automess

Automess - Model 6150AD-17 - Contamination Detection Probes

The alpha beta gamma ray probe 6150AD-17 uses a Geiger-Müller counter with a round end window as a detector. With the protective cap attached, this probe can be used as a general gamma detection probe. When the protective cap is removed, the probe is sensitive to alpha, beta and gamma radiation, thus allowing the detection of surface contamination, including wipe tests. Without a protective cap, the probe can also be used to detect (not for quantitative measurement) low-energy photon radiation down to a few keV.

Automess - Model 6150AD-p - Contamination Detection Probes

The 6150AD-p probe uses a Geiger-Müller end window counter of the pancake type as a detector. When the protective cap is removed, this probe is sensitive to alpha, beta and gamma radiation, thus allowing the detection of surface contamination, including wipe tests. Thanks to an energy filter integrated in the protective cap, the probe can also be used to detect photon radiation at low dose rates. Even low energies (e.g. soft X-rays) down to a few keV are possible. Digital display range: 0,01 s-1 - 20 kS-1.

Gamma Alarm Station - Automess

Automess - Model 859.1 - Gamma Alarm Station

BWith battery operation, a pending alarm is not reported by the flashing light, as this has a very high power consumption, but is only indicated via the speaker. A pending permanent alarm reduces the battery life to approx. 20 hours.

Probe Multiplexer - Automess

Automess - Model 861.1 - Probe Multiplexer

Housing: Plastic with clear front door, lockable, suitable for wall mounting. Temperature range: 0 to 50°C. Dimensions: 278 × 217 × 142.5 mm³. Weight: approx. 1.8 kg without 6150AD. Power supply: Mains 87 to 250 VAC / 50 Hz. or 7 to 30 VDC via separate socket.

Probe Adapters - Automess

Automess - Model 876.2 - Probe Adapter

A 6150AD is connected to this probe adapter using the connecting cable EB84-0193 (not included in the delivery), whereby the probe adapter records the measured values of the 6150AD. Any probe from the 6150AD family can optionally be connected to this connection cable using a standard probe cable. The probe adapter then records the readings taken by the probe. Two analogue outputs: logarithmic 0 to 1 volt for the dose rate and a range identifier (µSv/h, mSv/h, Sv/h). These analogue outputs match the 2-line mini recorder L120E-2 for the Szintomat 6134A(/H).
