BactiQuant A/S

BactiQuant was founded in 1999, but our approach has been in process and refined since 1988, when Dr. Morten Miller and Dr. Morten Reeslev founded their first business, Mycometer, at the University of Copenhagen. Initially, the focus was zeroed in on the rapid detection and quantification of mold in buildings. However, since 2006, the same technological platform was adapted to develop new ways of quantifying bacteria in indoor environments and liquids. With this technological breakthrough, Mycometer launched its core product – BactiQuant. Over the years, it became apparent that BactiQuant needed to be a stand-alone business if the market potential was to be met. As a direct result, Mycometer was split into two separate companies, leading to the foundation of BactiQuant in 2020. This was an entirely strategic decision to dive fully into the market opportunities within water analysis.
