Ensuring a reliable energy supply in the face of ever scarcer resources still remains as one of the greatest global challenges of the 21st century. In recognition of this issue, BayWa AG formed BayWa r.e. renewable energy in 2009 - a fully-owned holding company created to bundle the group`s renewable energy divisions: solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy and geothermal energy. Since then, BayWa r.e. renewable energy has transformed itself into one of the most respected project development and trading companies throughout Germany and wider Europe. In addition to this, we offer support to our customers by providing consultation and system management services. We focus on a variety of renewable technologies, with activities spread across many countries. Currently, our operations are targeted on Germany, Europe, and the USA. Working in partnership with our customers, we have already brought 800 megawatts online.
