BELL - Forced Draught Cooling Towers
Forced draught cooling towers by Bell are mechanical draught towers equipped with one or more fans at the air intake, designed to deliver efficient cooling through the movement of dry air at a lower specific volume. Unlike induced draught systems, forced draught provides a lower air flow quantity for a given duty, leading to reduced power consumption. Bell employs Munters fills (now MM Aqua), which offer an extended surface area for water film to enhance air-water contact, contributing to effective cooling. These specially designed fills have a lower static resistance, reducing power requirements. Additionally, forced draught systems lower carryover and drift loss to 0.001% with D15 high-efficiency drift eliminators, mitigating drift nuisance and algae growth. They require less space, needing clearance only on one side. Having components near the base enhances stability and longevity, minimizes corrosion, motor burnouts, and improves maintenance access, making them ideal for small sites with limited space while induced draught is preferred for heavy-duty applications.
BELL - Induced Draught Cooling Towers for Industrial Applications
Bell's induced draught cooling towers are engineered to optimize the heat dissipation process in industrial settings by employing a meticulously designed system that leverages air circulation induced by a fan. The heart of the tower is the highly efficient fill, made from durable PVC with multiple openings, enhancing the interaction between air and water for optimal heat exchange. With components manufactured using advanced German technology, these towers feature fills with excellent erosion protection and longevity, able to withstand temperatures up to 65 °C. A sophisticated design ensures minimal air pressure drop alongside high heat transfer. Equipped with high-efficiency drift eliminators, the towers maintain drift loss at a maximum of 0.001% under standard conditions. The water distribution system, composed of robust PVC components, is built to endure high pressures. Direct-driven fans, coupled with standard IP 55 TEFC motors from renowned manufacturers, ensure reliable operation, free from gearbox issues. The corrosion-resistant fiberglass casing, reinforced with superior isothelic resin and FRP matting, is customized for durability against harsh environmental influences, and is available in varied colors. These cooling towers are designed for energy efficiency, reducing both operational costs and environmental impact, while their compact structure offers versatile installation options.
