Digester Tanks

Bigadan is an experienced provider of customized digester tanks for biogas plants under construction or expansion. Over the years, we have constructed more than 100 tanks with special focus on digesters and pasteurization tanks. Bigadan`s tank solutions are characterized by the use of the best building materials to ensure longevity and low operation and maintenance costs. Additionally, the digester tanks has the following features: A construction time of 8-10 weeks, when conditions are at their optimum. Roof and topmost part of the tank is made of stainless steel preventing corrosion. Includes a small surveillance "house" making it possible to inspect the surface of the biomass. Equipped with a top-hung agitator enabling more effective and energy-efficient mixing of the biomass.

Pasteurization Tanks

As standard, Bigadan designs biogas plants with pre-pasteurization steps, where the biomass is heat treated at 70°C (158°F) for 60 minutes before degassing giving the following advantages: Observing EU`s bi-product directive 1069/2009, 10-20% increase in gas output, Increased dehydration for degassed biomass/sludge. Additionally, Bigadan`s pasteurization tanks are used at commercial sewage treatment plants for sludge pasteurization. We handle all aspects of the tank construction, including design, erection and commissioning.

Biological Odour Cleaning

This Bigadan concept is a two step system which deodorizes the air from receiving and mixing tanks as well as the receiving hall by removing hydrogen sulphide through a pre and main filter. This pre filter is a fibre-glass tank and the main filter is a concrete tank containing a special material which has excellent filter properties and through a biological cleaning process reduces hydrogen sulphide and other sulphur components – and thereby any unpleasant odours - in the air considerably.
