The principal promoters of the business are Wayne Byrne, Peter Carey, Declan Murray, and Evan Dolan. The promoters have deep capabilities in the waste, energy, renewables and clean technology sectors. Wayne Byrne and his former management team (including Declan and Evan) disposed of a major waste equipment supply company, Manvik Group, in September 2009. Manvik had over 80 staff, operated in Ireland, UK and NI and turned over in excess of €40M. The four promoters through their involvement in the waste, energy and renewable sectors have identified compelling market opportunities in the resource recovery of wastewater sludge, landfill leachate, and commercial biosolids. BioCore is an Enterprise Ireland high potential start-up (HPSU) Client and has been trading since 2010.
