The BioFuel Technology ApS markets the CoMeTas A/S silicon carbide (SiC) membranes globally for any purpose. The BioFuel Technology ApS has received exclusive rights to use the CoMeTas A/S membranes in the BioFuel Technology ApS bioenergy plants and membrane refinement units within the bioenergy market involving an element of animal manure.

The hydrolysers for pre-treating animal by-products and lignocellulosic materials are based on Lildal A/S sterilizers. The separation or refinement of stillage or digestate from bioenergy production is an important aspect of bioenergy production. Conventional bioethanol production is based on steam distillation of ethanol and subsequent evaporation of the stillage and production of distillers dried grains with solubles. The remaining water may partly be recycled to the process or disposed off to a wastewater treatment plant.
