BORIN - Solid-State Reference Electrodes

The STELTH 1 Solid-State Reference Electrode by BORIN Manufacturing is designed for use in various challenging environments, including water, buried saturated-soil, and submerged conditions. This reference electrode addresses the limitations faced by traditional chemistries when hydrocarbons are present. Utilizing a palladium-based chemistry, it is engineered to resist hydrocarbon interference, which affects copper, silver, and zinc electrodes. BORIN's STELTH 1 features a small rounded ceramic tip that ensures optimal contact in high moisture settings. It has a high-impact ABS structure with a moisture retention membrane and is available with a minimum 30-year service life warranty. The electrode can operate within a wide temperature range and is stable across a pH range of 4 to 9. Different models offer specific chemistries like Palladium-Palladium Chloride, Copper-Copper Sulfate, Silver-Silver Chloride, and Zinc-Zinc Sulfate to suit various chloride environments.

BORIN STELTH - Solid-State Reference Electrodes for for Buried and Concrete Service

The STELTH 2 is a versatile solid-state reference electrode designed for use in diverse environments, including moist, dry, soil, and concrete settings. It features a unique Moisture Retention Membrane (MRM), allowing it to maintain moisture within the ceramic, which prevents the internal electrolytes from evaporating even in arid soils. This electrode provides a wide ceramic sensing surface area of 32 square inches, facilitating accurate readings from varied electrode placements. It incorporates advanced palladium-based chemistry, making it resistant to hydrocarbons. These electrodes are available in multiple variants suited to specific environments: Palladium-Palladium Chloride (Pd-PdCl2) for any chloride environments, Copper-Copper Sulfate (Cu-CuSO4) for low chloride conditions, Silver-Silver Chloride (Ag-AgCl) for seawater/chloride environments, and Zinc-Zinc Sulfate (Zn-ZnSO4) for low chloride scenarios. The STELTH 2 electrodes offer a minimum 30-year service life, with infinite shelf stability.

BORIN - Solid-State Portable Reference Electrodes

BORIN Manufacturing introduces the STELTH 3 Solid-State Portable Reference Electrodes, designed for both water and soil applications. These electrodes utilize palladium-based technology to provide hydrocarbon-proof performance, overcoming the limitations of traditional electrode chemistries like copper, silver, and zinc. The STELTH HCP can be particularly effective in high-chloride environments unsuitable for conventional reference electrodes, and its innovative ceramic tip with a Moisture Retention Membrane ensures stability by retaining internal electrolytes. The compact design features a high-impact Lexan tube and ceramic tip, making it suitable for use above ground or with electrode extensions. It is engineered to work within a diverse range of pH levels and temperatures while providing long-term service life and shelf stability, with environments ranging from chloride-free to high chloride concentrations to accommodate various application needs.

BORIN - Fat Cat Solid-State Portable Reference Electrode

The BORIN STELTH 4 Fat Cat is a solid-state portable reference electrode designed for both water and soil applications. Utilizing palladium-based technology, the STELTH 4 is hydrocarbon-proof, overcoming limitations previously faced by electrodes made from traditional materials such as copper, silver, and zinc. This makes it particularly effective in environments with high chloride levels where traditional electrodes struggle. With features like a wing nut for easy handling, a flat ceramic plug for stability, and a robust ABS case, it ensures reliable performance in varying conditions. Its specifications include a 2.25-inch width and 4.5-inch length, ±5 millivolts accuracy, and suitability for environments with pH 4-9 at temperatures ranging from 32°F to +176°F (0°C to 80°C) and -60°F to +185°F (-51°C to 85°C). Designed for portability, it offers a wide sensing area suitable for soil and concrete surfaces and guarantees performance with a minimum 10-year service life.
