Our team has a diverse background in multi-media environmental compliance requirements. Our experience includes: Proactive self-audits; Managing Voluntary Disclosure Agreement (VDA) audits and corrective actions with the Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA); NPDES permitting (Stormwater, Wastewater); Water Appropriation Permitting; Underground Injection Control Permitting; Tier II; Toxic Release Inventory (TRI); Process Safety Management (PSM).

BPE is Certified with the State of Delaware to perform Investigative and Remedial Action work (including facility evaluations, site inspections, remedial investigations, Brownfields investigations, human health risk assessments, feasibility studies, remedial action oversight and long-term stewardship) under the Delaware Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA) Program.In addition, BPE has been included on the DNREC Tank Management Section Environmental Investigation and Remediation Consultants List. Our staff has assisted with the ground-up development of multi-media environmental compliance programs.  We have overseen the development and implementation of Management Systems (EMS) following EPA Compliance Focused Environmental Management Systems (CFEMS) guidance as well as ISO 14001.  Our staff can assist with developing a proactive approach to your environmental aspects in order to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental regulations and reduce the impacts of your organization`s activities, products and services on the environment.

BPE has assisted clients with Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) and Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance programs including oversight of tank installation, removals, and upgrades. Our staff includes certified UST inspectors who can assist with contractor oversight and timely communication with regulators regarding your project.

Over the years, BPE has developed hundreds of environmental plans for facilities throughout the United States.  Our staff has experience developing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Oil Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Contaminated Materials Management Plans (CMMP) and Drought Plans.
