BSTI
BSTI’s founding principle was “to create a company where really good people can come together and do really good work for really good clients.” We use science, human talent and state-of-the-art tools to guide our clients through environmental challenges. Whether you are trying to maintain compliance at your facility, looking to buy or revitalize an industrial property or have to respond to regulatory obligations, we know that you have more important things to do than tackle the situation yourself. If you need expertise, responsiveness and been-there done-that capability in the Mid-Atlantic region, then we might be the firm for you.

Our Way
Sure, we’ve made mistakes, made adjustments and learned a lot as we grew up. However, nowhere in the process did we ever feel the need or desire to marginalize our founding principle in the pursuit of profits. We are encouraged by other businesses and clients who feel the same as we do. Taking a personal interest in the well-being of your employees and customers is not a new movement in business.
It’s old school. And that’s our way.
Our People
We love science and care deeply about the environment. When we were young, we were curious about the natural world around us and couldn’t wait to uncover its many secrets.
We never dreamed that it was possible to continue “playing” in the environment for a living.
Here we are, years later. We are problem solvers at the intersection of business and the environment.
This is where we belong.
Our Community
Advocacy
Reusable Water Bottles
We are committed to the responsible use of resources and encourage our employees and families to be active in caring for the planet.
Water does not come from a grocery store! We support the use of reusable water bottles; a simple choice that helps decrease the unnecessary production of throw-away bottles and reduce the amount of plastics in our landfills and streets.
We’re so enthusiastic about our reusable water bottles that we will gladly send you one just for the asking. Just let us know and we’ll ship one to you right away. Be sure to send us photos of your BSTI bottle in action.
Organic Gardening
Keeping active in the outdoors with our trusty water bottles at our side, our employees explore new ways of organic fruit and vegetable production by tending our company garden. We find comfort in growing our own food and taking responsibility of the land that gave it to us.
By also doing the small things, such as composting at the office, we maintain the balance between giving and taking from the earth.
Cleanup and Restoration
Rolling up our sleeves, we say thank you to our beautiful planet by participating in natural space restoration, tree planting and neighborhood cleanup projects.
Youth Outreach and Volunteerism
We are proud of the time and guidance that our employees provide in our community.
Our employees volunteer hundreds of hours of service at multiple organizations, including:
- Girls Scouts of America
- Little League Baseball and Softball
- PAWS for People
- Penn Fusion Soccer Academy
- Science Day
- The Flat Scientist Project
- University of Delaware Coast Day
- West Chester Youth Wrestling
- Women in Aerospace and Technology
- Willowdale Special Needs Ministry
- YMCA Basketball and T-ball
