The HSE’s Approved Code of Practice & Guidance – The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems (L8) identifies inadequate management, lack of training and poor communication as contributory factors in outbreaks of Legionnaires Disease. It is therefore important that all people involved in the management of water systems and applying precautions are competent, trained and aware of their responsibilities.
