Cascade created its Rapid Deployment Team (RDT) out of frustration of a lack of trusted, quality on-site deinstallation, packaging and hauling options available for our customers’ valuable and sensitive IT equipment. With our experience logging millions of miles and tens of thousands of hours in local pick-ups in the Midwest, we created the RDT solution for clients with sites throughout North America. The Rapid Deployment Team is a group of Cascade employees who have been specially trained to safely and efficiently handle the collection and packaging of sensitive IT assets. They are also able to be sent to customer sites across the continent with very little notice. When they are not working at customers’ sites, they are either performing local collections or processing activities at one of Cascade’s facilities.

On-Site Hard Drive Wiping Provides Assurance Data is Destroyed. For customers who have high data security needs and valuable equipment that can generate resale returns, Cascade offers on-site data wiping services. Our trained technicians will come to your site, set up a bay of wiping stations, perform overwrites of hard drives to any standard, perform a detailed discovery of the units including an electronic capture of each drive’s serial number and wipe result, and leave with you an electronic and hard copy Certificate of Destruction and detailed Disposition Report listing each asset processed. Cascade can then remove the wiped hardware and process it at a facility for either reuse or recycling.

We come to your site to physically destroy media and their data. If your company has high security needs and absolutely requires hard drives, data tapes, and solid state drives to be physically destroyed so that information is inaccessible and the media cannot be reused, then let us bring one of our portable media destruction units to your site.

Cascade’s trained and secure technicians can help out with your next refresh or clean-out project. When you are ready to upgrade, Cascade staff can come in and remove your computers from their workstations and from the network in a careful and efficient process. We have also cleaned out buildings during moves when desktops are left on employee desks. This is also a great opportunity for us to perform on-site wiping and inventory services.

Do you need to know what IT assets are leaving your facility before they go to your asset retirement service provider? Do you not have the time or resources to do this work yourself? Cascade’s RDT staff can come to your facility to label, scan and inventory your IT assets and then give you a report of these recorded assets before they leave your facility.

Cascade maintains a fleet of trucks at our processing facilities available for the collection of equipment generally within a three hour drive of each facility.  Each 26 foot straight truck is equipped with a lift gate and can accommodate a variety of collection sites.  We’ve deployed the trucks to locations with traditional loading docks as well as office sites without docks. Only Cascade professionals operate each truck – we do not outsource this work to contractors.  The drivers are trained in customer service and support, provide on-site moving assistance, and may also offer additional services on-site.  Each driver must pass criminal background checks, drug screening tests, and meets Department of Transportation standards.

If you need an account of asset disposition activity for financial reporting purposes, to demonstrate compliance with data security regulations or to prove environmental compliance, Cascade can provide what you need with our flexible and affordable asset reporting service. We track the information you need on the assets you want to identify and will report this information back to you electronically and in hard copy. Our reporting system can interface with virtually any asset management program to complete your asset tracking and discovery program. Asset recording and reporting services can also be performed on leased equipment in preparation for fulfilling lease return terms.
