Cell Based Assays - Cell Adhesion - 48-Well ECM Cell Adhesion Assays - Cell Adhesion Assays, ECM Array

CytoSelect - Model CBA-070 - 48-Well Cell Adhesion Assay, ECM Array

Cell adhesion is a complex process involved in migration/invasion, embryogenesis, wound healing and tissue remodeling. Cells adhere to the extracellular matrix, forming complexes with cytoskeleton components that can affect cell motility, differentiation, proliferation, and survival.

Cell Signaling and Protein Biology - CRISPR / Cas Systems

Model PRB-5079 - Cas9 (CRISPR Associated Protein 9) ELISA Kit

The Cas9 protein (CRISPR associated protein 9) has gained attention as a genome engineering tool to cause site-directed double strand breaks in DNA. Resulting DNA breaks can inactivate genes or introduce heterologous genes through non-homologous end joining and homologous recombination, respectively, in many model organisms. Both gene deletion and gene replacement have been demonstrated using the CRISPR/Cas9 system in human cells.

Cell Signaling and Protein Biology - Serum Protein Assays and Reagents

Model STA-383 - Serum Protein Assays and Reagents

Cell Biolabs’ Human Albumin ELISA Kit is an enzyme immunoassay developed for the detection and quantitation of human albumin in plasma, serum, urine or other biological fluid samples.  The kit has a detection sensitivity limit of 5 ng/mL human albumin.  Each kit provides sufficient reagents to perform up to 96 assays including standard curve and unknown samples.

Cell Signaling and Protein Biology - Protein Analysis Tools

Model AKR-110 - Rapid GST Inclusion Body Solubilization and Renaturation Kit

Recombinant proteins expressed in bacteria often form inclusion bodies, especially when they are expressed at high levels. The Rapid GST Inclusion Body Solubilization and Renaturation Kit is designed to retrieve expressed GST fusion proteins in soluble form after lysis and extraction procedures. Each kit contains sufficient reagents to solubilize and renature up to 5-10 liters of bacterial culture.

Metabolism Research - Amino Acid Metabolism

Model MET-5123 - Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) Activity Assay Kit (Colorimetric)

Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) is an enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of an amino group from alanine to alpha-ketoglutarate, resulting in the formation of glutamate and pyruvate. This enzyme is found primarily in serum and the liver, but can also be found in other body tissues. Our Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) Assay Kits provide a simple microplate-based method to measure the activity of ALT in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or cell suspensions. Kits are available with either colorimetric or fluorometric detection.

Oxidative & Cellular Stress - Antioxidant Capacity Assays

OxiSelect - Model STA-859 - Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) Assay Kit

OxiSelect™ Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) Assay Kit is a quantitative assay for measuring the antioxidant potential within various samples. Following the reduction of ferric iron (Fe3+) to ferrous iron (Fe2+) by antioxidants present in the sample, the kit colorimetric probe develops a blue color that is read colorimetrically at 540-600nm. The antioxidant potential of samples is determined based on an iron standard curve and results are calculated at Fe2+ equivalents (µM) or FRAP value.

Oxidative & Cellular Stress - Antioxidant Enzyme Activity Assays

OxiSelect - Model STA-340 - Superoxide Dismutase Activity Assay

Superoxide dismutase (SOD), which catalyzes the dismutation of the superoxide anion into hydrogen peroxide and molecular oxygen, is one of the most important antioxidant enzymes. SOD enzymes are classified into three groups: cytosolic CuZn-SOD, mitochondrial Mn-SOD, and extracellular Ec-SOD. Our OxiSelect™ Superoxide Dismutase Activity Assay uses a xanthine/xanthine oxidase (XOD) system to generate superoxide anions and a chromagen to produce a water-soluble formazan dye upon reduction by superoxide anions. The superoxide dismutase activity is determined as the inhibition or reduction of chromagen.

Pathogen and Toxin Assays - Toxin Assays

Model AKR-5134 - Bisphenol A (BPA) Competitive ELISA Kit

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a synthetic compound belonging to the group of diphenylmethane derivatives. BPA is used in the synthesis of polymer plastics, including some polycarbonate resins, epoxy resins, and polysulfones. BPA-based plastics have been used in a wide range of consumer goods, and epoxy resins created from BPA have been used to coat pipets, the interior of food cans, and to make thermal paper used in sales receipts. Because BPA has estrogen-mimicking properties, as it binds both estrogen receptors ERa and ERß (although at a much lower rate than estradiol), some businesses have stopped using BPA. Cell Biolabs` Bisphenol A (BPA) Competitive ELISA Kit provides a convenient method to measure BPA concentrations in a variety of sample types. Each kit provides sufficient reagents for up to 96 assays, including standards and unknown samples.

Viral Expression - AAV Helper Free Packaging Systems

Model VPK-401 - AAV-1 Helper Free Packaging System

The AAV Helper Free System produces recombinant AAV containing your gene of interest without the need to use a helper adenovirus. The adenoviral genes required for proper AAV packaging are provided in the pHelper plasmid (E2A, E4 and VA RNA) or in the 293 packaging cells (E1).
