Model AKR-5134 -Bisphenol A (BPA) Competitive ELISA Kit
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a synthetic compound belonging to the group of diphenylmethane derivatives. BPA is used in the synthesis of polymer plastics, including some polycarbonate resins, epoxy resins, and polysulfones. BPA-based plastics have been used in a wide range of consumer goods, and epoxy resins created from BPA have been used to coat pipets, the interior of food cans, and to make thermal paper used in sales receipts. Because BPA has estrogen-mimicking properties, as it binds both estrogen receptors ERa and ERß (although at a much lower rate than estradiol), some businesses have stopped using BPA. Cell Biolabs` Bisphenol A (BPA) Competitive ELISA Kit provides a convenient method to measure BPA concentrations in a variety of sample types. Each kit provides sufficient reagents for up to 96 assays, including standards and unknown samples.
- Detect concentrations as low as 25 nM
- Suitable with serum, plasma, feces, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, or food samples
- BPA standard provided to allow quantitation of unknown samples
- Catalog Number: AKR-5134
- Size: 96 assays
- Detection: Colorimetric
