CERES - Model ZVI - High Purity Zero Valent Iron Powder for In Situ Chemical Reduction
Zero Valent Iron – High quality and purity micro-scale iron powder and granules for in situ chemical reduction for source areas, permeable reactive barriers, and other soil and groundwater remediation applications. Also commonly utilized in above ground water treatment systems for selenium, chlorinated compounds and heavy metals. CERES Zero Valent Iron (ZVI) powder is produced by different manufacturing processes including reduced iron (i.e. Sponge Iron), hydrometallurgy, water atomization or carbonyl production methods (NOTE: CERES DOES NOT use scrap iron for our ZVI!). CERES ZVI is available at up to 99.9% Fe content and thousands of tons are produced annually with just-in-time manufacturing to ensure no appreciable surface oxides are present. Each manufacturing method produces ZVI of different iron content, reactivity and hydrogen production to meet our clients project specific requirements. Yes, we are engineering to order your ZVI. Who else does that?!
Zero Valent Iron (ZVI)
Zero Valent Iron (ZVI) – is a reductant used in the treatment of organic and inorganic contaminants found in soil and groundwater. Highly reactive micro-scale iron powder and granules for in situ chemical reduction of chlorinated solvents, metals, nitrates, nitroaromatic compounds, and certain dyes, among other contaminants of concern. ZVI is applied to soils and groundwater within source areas, permeable reactive zones/barriers, and other soil and groundwater remediation applications. CERES offers the best selection of highly reactive ZVI products to match up with the soil and hydrogeologic conditions as well as preferred injection approach. ZVI is a common component of BioGeoChemical Reduction approaches and is included in CERES BioGeochemical Reduction (BGCR). CERES ZVI is available at up to 99.5% Fe content and thousands of tons are produced annually with just-in-time manufacturing to ensure no appreciable surface oxides are present. Each manufacturing method produces ZVI of different iron content, reactivity and hydrogen production to meet our clients project specific requirements. Yes, we are engineering to order your ZVI. Who else does that?! ZVI is one of the most effective and reliable remediation technologies, proven over decades to achieve successful in situ chemical reduction (ISCR) of many target contaminants. CERES has supported many clients with ZVI for ISCR projects around the world for many years with great success and proud to say that customer goals are being achieved one project after the other!
CERES - Model MTS - Metals Treatment Solution
Metals Treatment Solution – Chemistry for sustained heavy metal sequestration and stabilization. Advanced proprietary and site specific engineered formulation of stabilization chemistries for use in chemical sequestration and immobilization of heavy metals as a stand alone solution or in combination with stabilization and solidification applications. Decades of heavy metals remediation and sequestration experience have culminated into the Metals Treatment Solution (MTS®) product comprising multiple proprietary engineered chemistries that target many heavy metal contaminants.
CERES - Model iPAC - Injectable Powder Activated Carbon
C.E.R.E.S. offers high quality and high surface area powder activated carbon (iPAC) for remediation application in soil and groundwater by adsorption of organic contaminants, PFOS /PFOA, and some heavy metals (e.g. Hg) or in combination with other chemical reductive and biotic reduction reagents. Adsorption can significantly retard contaminant migration and decrease dissolved phase concentrations in groundwater.

injectable Powder Activated Carbon (iPAC)
C.E.R.E.S. offers high quality and high surface (e.g. 1,000 m2/g) area powder activated carbon (iPAC) for remediation application in soil and groundwater by adsorption of organic contaminants, PFOS /PFOA (iPAC-PF), and some heavy metals (e.g. Hg) or in combination with other chemical reductive and biotic reduction reagents. Adsorption can significantly retard contaminant migration and decrease dissolved phase concentrations in groundwater. Alternatively we can combine with proppant like reagents or materials to enhance permeability at those clay or fractured rock sites; this may be ZVI, sand, or other granular reagents. Not even pure water can be injected through clay or rock without fracturing the tight soils. So why go colloidal if you have to fracture anyways.
CERES - Model PTS - Petroleum Treatment Solution for Petroleum Remediation
Chemistry for Enhanced Bioremediation of Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Fuels, and Oils. Enhanced bioremediation product comprised of essential micro- and macro-nutrients and a complete source of electron acceptors required for stimulation and the proliferation of indigenous microorganisms and accelerated biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel oxygenates, polyaromatic hydrocarbons chlorinated benzene and other petroleum remediation applications in soil, groundwater, and surface water environments.

CERES - Model PTBAC - Petroleum Hydrocarbon Treatment Bacteria for Petroleum Remediation
Engineered Bacteria for Enhanced Bioremediation of Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Fuels, and Oils. Petroleum Treatment Bacteria (PTBac) contains a blend of facultative hydrocarbon degrading bacteria specifically chosen for the petrochemical industries applicable to both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. This product provides a significant boost to biodegradation rates when combined with PTS to rapidly achieve treatment goals and reduce the overall costs of remediation. Bioaugmentation with PTBac and PTS is recommended when treatment goals require accelerated rates of biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel oxygenates, polyaromatic hydrocarbons chlorinated benzene and other petroleum remediation applications in soil, groundwater, and surface water environments.
