Waste Licensing & Exemptions
If you keep, treat or dispose of waste you may require either a Waste Management Licence, which is issued by the Environment Agency (under section 36 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990), or an exemption for waste management licensing, again regulated by the Environment Agency. Ceri Environmental Consulting Ltd can provide you with advice and information regarding the waste licensing and exemption regimes. We can work with you to develop a strategy for your business by helping you make the right decisions, taking into account these regulatory regimes. We will then assist you by preparing your application documents for the Environment Agency, and seeing your application through to determination. Ceri Environmental Consulting Ltd has proven experience of liasing with the Environment Agency to obtain waste licences for clients and also ensuring that the correct exemptions are registered with the Environment Agency.
COTC mentoring & assessing
Certificates of Technical Competence (COTCs) are required by law on most licensed waste management sites. The assessments process can seem overwhelming at first but Ceri Environmental Consulting Ltd can provide assessors who will take you through the whole process as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. We understand the workings of the waste industry and will provide mentoring and assessing at times to suit your business and staffing needs. It is our job to explain what you or your staff need to do, help you identify the best way to demonstrate competence, and to assess you against the COTC standard. Ceri Environmental Consulting Ltd work with Environmental Leadership Ltd, which is the WAMITAB approved North West Regional Assessment Centre for waste management NVQs, to deliver this service to clients.
