Born from British Coal Technical Services, CES Environmental Instruments Ltd have provided emissions monitoring services to industry since 1994 as a private company. As its reputation and customer base has grown the company has also steadily grown to meet the demand for its specialist services. The company is now recognised as a leader in the emissions monitoring field and has been certified by UKAS to BS EN 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) and the Environment Agency’s Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERTS), having already achieved ISO 9001 certification shortly after the company was founded.
CES Environmental Instruments Ltd undertakes emissions monitoring across a wide and varied range of industries from animal crematoria and spray plant to brick making, petro-chemical, power generation and cement manufacturing. It is pleased to have amongst its clients Lafarge Cement Ltd, Shell UK, Corus, RWE Npower, Scottish Power Ltd and many other blue chip companies. Emissions monitoring and consultancy services have also been provided in Europe and the Far East. CES Environmental Instruments Ltd has worked with the Environment Agency in piloting the introduction of BS EN 14181, ‘Quality assurance of automated measuring systems’, and was amongst the first companies to gain UKAS accreditation for BS EN14181 testing.
A natural progression for the company has been a move into the servicing of CEMS (Continuous emissions monitoring systems) thereby providing a ‘one-stop shop’ to meet clients’ needs for CEMS maintenance, calibration, functional and linearity testing. CES Environmental Instruments Ltd are able to advise client’s on emissions monitoring systems and to supply and install suitable equipment which has been validated under the MCERT Scheme.
Health and safety has always been a top priority for CES Environmental Instruments Ltd. and third party accreditation of our Health and Safety systems has been achieved under the SafeContractor scheme.
