The Responsible Care Program

In 1992 the UNEP Conference for Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro agreed the model for Sustainable Development as the joint aim of the international Community of Nations.

Underlying these guidelines and on the basis of the Responsible Care, Responsible Distribution programs adopted by the international Council of Chemical Trade Associations (ICCTA) in June 1996, the German Chemical Traders took an active part in the world wide initiative for 'Responsible Care' which had been created by the Chemical Industry.
