Hard Waste Services

We offer City of Melbourne residents one free hard waste collection each year. Individual households can book one collection service of one cubic metre per year. If you live in a high rise building, you can ask your building manager to book a collection for you.


E-Waste and Chemical Waste Services

Find out options for recycling and disposing of e-waste and unwanted chemicals. E-waste:E-waste (electronic waste) is anything with a plug, cord or battery. The Victorian Government has banned all e-waste from landfill. Please drop off your e-waste for recycling. E-waste will be taken apart, shredded, sorted and then recycled into new items.

Waste and Recycling Centre Services

Citywide Service Solutions operates a waste and recycling centre at 437 Dynon Road, West Melbourne. Residents dropping off kerbside recycling, green waste or e-waste must produce either a current City of Melbourne rates notice, driver`s licence or utility bill. See the list of accepted e-waste items. This service is not intended for commercial quantities and is provided for City of Melbourne residents only. Waste and Recycling in Apartment Buildings Services

More than 70 per cent of City of Melbourne residents live in high rise apartment buildings. Our high rise recycling program reduces the amount of waste going to landfill and improves the quality and quantity of recycling collected from residential apartment buildings.

Waste Signage for Apartments

City of Melbourne has free signs and stickers to assist residents of high rise buildings to recycle correctly. Use the form to order hard copies of the signage for free. PDF copies of the signs and posters are also available to anyone to download and print.
