Geotechnical Engineering Services

Mine Subsidence Investigations Services
Numerous coal seams in the eastern United States have been deep mined. Abandoned deep mine workings often present a risk of structural damage due to subsidence. By utilizing subsurface investigation techniques, reviewing available mine maps, and evaluating geotechnical parameters, CEC estimates the risk of mine subsidence and, if necessary, makes recommendations to reduce those risks.
