Qualitative fit testing is performed using Irritant Smoke a standard procedure recommended by OSHA. After completing the fit test from Compliance Solutions, the student will be issued a pass/fail notification that should be returned to their employer for inclusion with their employee medical records.

OSHA Regulations require your employees to be medically cleared to wear a respirator before they can be used in company operations (employees MUST have a medical clearance before fit testing is performed). A physician or other licensed health care professional MUST review the employees medical history (and possibly perform additional testing) before a respirator clearance can be issued.

As part of a complete Respiratory Program ALL employees who wear respirators are required to have instruction in the use and proper care of respirators.
