Fiberglass Underground Petroleum Storage Tanks

CIS - Double Wall Tanks

With more alternative fuels being introduced to the marketplace and steel tank providers decreasing warranties due to corrosion issues, petroleum storage decisions can get complicated. Fiber Glass Systems is here to simplify the problem. FGS manufactures CSI tanks, the finest quality petroleum storage tanks for underground systems. Unlike underground steel tanks, CSI petroleum storage tanks are backed by an industry best 30-year corrosion limited warranty. Our double-wall fiberglass tanks are inherently non-corrosive, safely storing standard petroleum fluids, biofuels and biodiesels, ethanol and ethanol blends, ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD), even Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).

CSI - Triple Wall Tanks

We also offer a triple-wall fiberglass tank for use in environmentally sensitive areas where tertiary containment is required. The triple-wall tank design provides secondary containment for the standard secondary containment system. Triple-wall tanks offer three levels of containment protection: the proven strength and performance of a primary fiberglass tank, and in the unlikely event that there is a breach, secondary and tertiary walls designed to contain the fuel and prevent any spill into the environment.

Fiberglass Underground Water Storage Tanks

CSI - Fiberglass Underground Rainwater Harvesting Storage Tank

Flowtite® fiberglass storage tanks are ideal for use in rainwater harvesting applications. Natural rainwater is very clean and therefore needs little filtering to be used as a secondary water supply. Rainwater harvesting is an innovative approach anyone can use. With proper planning and design, your system can be built to capture up to 100% of the surface area rainwater. Rainwater harvesting can make a dramatic impact through financial tax incentives, compliance with current and future regulations and additional credits toward certification of “green” building. Newer applications include recharging cooling tower water supplies for evaporative cooling systems.

CSI - Fiberglass Underground Stormwater Collection Tank

Urban development introduces impervious surfaces to an environment, which prevent stormwater from soaking into the ground. Common impervious surfaces include parking lots, highways, rooftops, etc. These surfaces cause runoff water to funnel through waterways and out of the city too quickly to be absorbed naturally. The result is a situation where areas with average rainfall suffer from flooding during normal rains and unnecessary drought conditions during expected dry periods. One solution is to collect and store flood water for use during drier times.

CSI - Fiberglass Underground Onsite Septic Storage Tank

Our line of Flowtite tanks can be used for both aerobic and anaerobic septic applications. They are a cost-effective, long-term solution for private homes, commercial developments, industrial, and municipal applications. Changes in federal and state regulation of septic storage are moving to reduce infiltration and exfiltration contamination common in concrete systems. Our fiberglass tanks are immune to the same environments that corrode and degrade concrete septic systems, eliminating these leakage problems. Our tanks are engineered to exceed current requirements and standards. We offer IAPMO Z1000 approved tanks in sizes up to 12’ diameter, including fiberglass baffles and other accessories.

CSI - Fiberglass Underground Potable Water Storage Tank

Fiber Glass Systems manufactures Flowtite fiberglass tanks according to NSF 61 and AWWA standards for potable water storage. Because of their lightweight design, Flowtite tanks are easy to transport and easy to install making them popular in remote areas where a dependable, drinkable water source is critical. Fiberglass tanks can be manufactured to store potable water directly without liners or bladders common in both steel and concrete tanks.

CSI - Grease Interceptors

Grease Interceptors (also referred to as grease traps for smaller applications) are temporary storage/disposal tanks for wastewater in grease producing areas. Materials in this particular type of wastewater are made up of “fats, oils, and grease” (FOG). FOG materials congeal as they cool; in sewer lines this would cause massive blockages and costly back-ups. A grease interceptor is designed to store the wastewater long enough for FOG materials to naturally separate and float to the top of the water level, where the grease can be collected and disposed of properly. A baffle divides the tank into two compartments: the first of which retains the grease and allows the remaining FOG-free wastewater to enter the second compartment and then flow safely into the sewer line.

Oil/Water Separator and Interceptor Products

CSI - Fiberglass Underground Oil Water Separator Tank

Since suspended solids settle out more readily than oil in water, the separator design is based on the difference in specific gravity between the oil and wastewater. They operate using coalescer packs of oleophilic plates. As contaminated water flows through the tank, it passes through a number of filter like packs made of plates that attract oil. The accumulation of oil on these plates causes the droplets to combine into larger masses, which naturally allows the oil to more easily rise to the top of the tank. The discharge outlet is situated so the clean water can exit the tank, leaving the oil to be collected for proper disposal.

CSI - Aboveground Oil Water Separators

These systems are designed to separate free oils and settleable solids from rainwater runoff and washdown applications in a gravity or pumped flow for intermittent, variable, or first flush flow of oil, water, or a combination of non-emulsified oil/water. Systems are installed either at grade or below grade (within a vault) and feature 10 PPM effluent discharge, low maintenance, and the superior quality that we deliver.

CSI - Interceptors for Oil/Sand/Grit

Containment Solutions interceptors reduce particulates and hydrocarbons in industrial waste water prior to sewer discharge. Containment Solutions interceptors can be used as standalone units or as the initial stage of a more efficient treatment system utilizing our oil/water separators.
