Operatomg Plant Services

CR&E’s scientists and engineers are extensively trained in engineering and design of plant operations and system conditions. Engineering experience and process modeling help support CR&E in dealing with process upset conditions with furnace operations. Plant operations support includes working on process control equipment, liquid incineration systems, deactivation systems, and metal parts furnace systems. Our engineers also have direct experience as Operation Specialists, Engineers and Managers at United States Demilitarization Facilities. CR&E personnel are highly experienced with forced emergency shutdowns on high temperature thermal treatment systems.

Research and Development Services

process analysis, development and optimization.  This includes detailed system modeling incorporating reaction thermodynamics and kinetics.  Reactor designs and system configurations are produced for a wide range of processes operating under varying constraints.  Continental Research and Engineering, LLC (CR&E) generates recommendations and provides solutions from this research to support and optimize plant’s performance.  CR&E`s scientists and engineers perform research to support the field-engineering portion of the company in order to optimize plant operations.  After researching various topics, CR&E completes laboratory testing and analysis.  CR&E has extensive experience in dealing with the combustion process and applying the knowledge to facility operations.

Design Services

Our experienced team of engineers utilizes computational tools to design complex chemical processes, investigate unique reaction phenomena and perform detailed analysis to optimize plant operations.  CR&E engineers are highly experienced in research, design, and design implementation, with special emphasis on the design of contaminated materials treatment facilities.   Plant design includes detailed support on process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, process control design and modifications.  CR&E engineers also support equipment specifications and design for chemical weapons demilitarization facilities.  Our engineers incorporate results from our Computational Fluid Dynamics and Mass and Energy Balance Models to develop process specifications for systems, furnaces, equipment, and specialty items.
