Contractors Sales Company, Inc.

Contractors Sales Company, Inc. began business in 1923 in Green island, New York as a supplier of industrial hardware, soon expanding into construction equipment. In the 1930's, Al Mantica moved the company to a location in Menands, New York and became a distributor for Allis Chalmers, the predecessor of Fiatallis. In the 40's, we became a Rex dealer; and in the 50's, we moved to our current location on Karner Road in Albany, NY. In the 50's and 60's, we also had branch offices in Syracuse and Watertown in order to be involved in the construction of the New York State Thruway and St. Lawrence Seaway projects. This was followed by a return to Albany, the core of our heritage.
