Our new wirelesss logger is a 2-input device: ideal for monitoring a fridge storing therapeutic products requiring both air and core temperature monitoring. Versions are also available to accept 4 or 8 analogue inputs.

DataNode wired loggers connect to the ProLog system via the ethernet network. DataNode accepts up to 16 sensor and 16 auxiliary inputs. In addition, 8 and 4 input versions are available to minimise system cost for smaller applications.

Temperature sensors are installed routinely within equipment such as fridges and freezers where blood products are stored. Regulatory guidelines specify product mimic temperature (also known as core / load temperature) must be monitored in addition to air temperature. We offer a range of product mimics characterised to mimic blood products. Contronics’ product mimics are used by UK Blood Services and many other NHS Trusts.

Our Humidity sensors have been used extensively for incubators and room humidity monitoring. Cold chain monitoring requirements often include humidity level monitoring for warehousing, pharmacy and other controlled storage environments.

We install Oxygen Depletion sensors extensively in liquid nitrogen storage areas, linked to our environmental monitoring systems and safety systems. Additionally, we also install oxygen level sensors to CO2 incubators. Wireless monitoring is becoming widely accepted by the Healthcare Industry and the regulatory authorities (FDA’s 12 CFR Part 11). This is because the networks are now more reliable and do not interfere with existing medical equipment. Many hospitals and research labs have set up medical grade Wi-Fi systems or are happy to be equipped with dedicated wireless network such as ZigBee or Bluetooth Smart. Contronics’ platform can be adapted to any networks. We have the tools to ascertain that your Wi-Fi system is fit for purpose and if not we will provide our reliable ZigBee system.

Our first wired systems have been installed for over 20 years and have proven to be absolutely fool-proof.

For most biological products, vaccines and many pharmaceutical products, it is critical not to break the cold chain. This is especially critical during in-transit phase where it is difficult to record the history of the goods. A good example is the distribution of vaccines to hot climate countries, and the transport of blood transfusions and organs for medical procedures. It is mandatory that cold chain monitoring must be implemented throughout transport and pharmaceutical storage to protect the safety and efficacy of the product.
