ConVault Storage Tanks are designed to store petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, oils, and other related products such as ethanol and methanol. They are UL2085 listed for protected aboveground storage of both combustible liquids and flammable liquids, and are designed with protection for both the primary tank and secondary containment. This makes them fire resistant, impact resistant, and bulletproof. As such, they are used widely across the United States and around the world, especially in environmentally sensitive areas or areas with the possibility of terrorist attack. The standard primary containment is a mild steel tank that can be internally coated for storage of many corrosive or hazardous chemical liquids. Stainless steel primary tanks are also available. All ConVault and ChemVault products are shop fabricated and shop tested and are ready for installation upon arrival. Use ConVault ASTs for all your protected above ground fuel storage tank needs.
ConVault, Inc. began in 1986 when Thomas R. Lindquist devised a radical (at the time) new method for aboveground storage of flammable and combustible liquids in a safe and acceptable manner. The affordable new 'protected aboveground storage' technology was designed to address the concerns of environmental and fire safety officials, incorporating many of their requests and suggestions. It also provided a more esthetically pleasing and useful fuel storage system with a longer warranty than was available at the time.
Located in the San Joaquin Valley in central California, the company flourished as local government agencies and businesses became aware of the safety and ultimate cost savings that the ConVault aboveground storage tank (AST) offered. As sales to the federal government and nationwide businesses increased, expansion was inevitable. An additional plant was opened in Florida in 1989. Licensees now manufacture the ConVault AST in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Australia, Canada, Japan and Slovakia. The numerous sales locations can be found in Contact & Purchasing Info.
Although many companies are now producing storage systems born of this technology, ConVault remains widely respected as the leader in environmentally sound and fire protected tank technology today. In fact, ConVault is the brand of choice for the federal government. This is only natural considering the impeccable record that ConVault has established, with over 30,000 units installed without a system failure.
