Creative Recycling Systems, Inc. was founded in 1994 with the mission of providing private companies, local, state and federal government and institutions with electronics recycling solutions that represent a viable, economical alternative to environmental contamination. Clients rely on us for an efficient, cost-effective way to recycle electronic equipment, minimize liability risks, eliminate warehousing fees and ensure that proprietary information is completely removed through data destruction.

The company has led the industry by incorporating innovative methods into the processing of obsolete electronics.  It has invested in cutting-edge equipment to shred, sort and separate equipment into its original components which are further refined and recycled into new products. Our goal is zero waste. Of the thousands of tons of equipment that enter our facilities, less than 1% actually enters the waste stream. And of that 1%, all of it is 100% contaminant free.

Creative Recycling has been featured on several Television Broadcasts, including Fox News, and is very involved in industry organizations. Government officials, academic researchers and trade groups, and environmental advocates, often seek out the company’s expertise in developing electronics recycling programs. We provide the best solution to the problem of unwanted electronics.

Creative Recycling Systems, Inc. does more than simply collect and properly recycle obsolete electronics. The company creates a symbiotic arrangement between end-of-life electronics and recycled/refurbished electronics for business customers around the world. This creative element to the business is evident in our process, and it maximizes the value of our client’s IT assets.

Creative Recycling utilizes an innovative process that allows retrieval of usable materials from what would otherwise be scrap or destined for improper disposal. In this process more than 99% of all materials collected by CRS are reused or recycled, and thus totally removed from the waste stream. The remaining 1% is processed in full compliance with all state and federal regulations.

A brief summary of what happens once electronic equipment is brought to CRS:

  • Weighing and identifying units, and assigning them to be reused or sold, demanufactured, donated or recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Functional electronic equipment is prepared for resale or donation.
  • Reusable parts are sold on the secondary market.
  • All end-of-life material is processed using state-of-the-art automated equipment that shreds and separates it into its base components that are further refined and manufactured into new products.

We Take Our Responsibility As Stewards Of The Environment Very Seriously And Our Unwavering Commitment To Ecologically Sound
Practices Enables Our Clients To Do So As Well.

Electronic equipment such as computers and cell phones has allowed our society to make great strides in recent decades. But there's a downside, too. A ceaseless demand for newer, superior technology has meant that these devices reach the end of their useful lives at a rapidly accelerating pace. This, in turn, has created a mounting global problem: what to do with outmoded electronics.

Many of the nation's landfills are filled to capacity. To complicate matters even further, many electronic devices contain materials - lead and other heavy metals - that pose a real hazard for the health of plants, animals and people and for the viability of the environment in general. Discarded electronics account for more than half of all heavy metals found in our landfills.  And the world only has a finite supply of natural resources.  Mining for the precious metals used in electronics is destroying some of the few remaining pristine areas of the world.

That's where Creative Recycling excels. Of the thousands of tons of equipment that enter our facilities, less than 1% eventually enters the waste stream (and it's 100% free of contaminants when it leaves). Our objective: Zero Waste (we're far ahead of the pack in reaching that goal).   Our new automated processing equipment makes us the best, most cost-effective and environmentally sound solution to the growing problem of unwanted electronics.
