CST - UV-VIS-NIR Photometric Transmitter

The PX2+ Photometer is designed for use in continuous process monitoring applications in a variety of industries. The PX2+ is a highly sensitive, easy to use, and compact instrument capable of making absorbance or fluorescence measurements. The PX2+ features 3.2” capacitive touch LCD that allows users to calibrate and view data. Process monitoring equipment is a great investment as economic benefits arise from greater process control and less waste. The PX2+ is designed to alert users when properties of their process stream change and no longer fall within acceptable limits. The ability to monitor process conditions in real-time allows users to observe small changes before they become much bigger problems.

CST - Photometric Transmitter

The PX2 Photometer was designed for dynamic sensitivity and ease of use. The PX2 accommodates a combination of measurement methods, light sources, detectors, and several digital and analog communication options to support numerous single or dual wavelength applications. An indicator LED alerts the user to changes in the unit’s operating status. The optional software package allows the user to calibrate for their particular samples. The PX2 can be packaged for GP, C1D1, or C1D2 electrical area classifications.

Fiber Optic Probes

CST - Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) Probe

The Attenuated Total Reflectance Probe is designed to be used in applications with highly absorptive samples (between 3,000-5,000 AU/cm). The ATR Probe can be inserted directly into a sample and can measure the spectral properties without dilution. Typically, the ATR Probe is used on pure inks, dyes, and crude oil samples.

CST - Transmission Probe

Our process-ready transmission probe enables inline measurements of gas or liquid sample streams in demanding industrial environments. The transmission probe directs light energy from a source SMA-905 connection through a sample and returns the light energy to a measure SMA-905 connection via a prism. The Transmission Probe is designed to facilitate absorbance measurements for low or high concentrations within a gas or liquid sample stream.

CST - Front Surface Fluorescence Probes

Our Front Surface Fluorescence Probes, as their name suggests, are designed to measure the surface fluorescence of a liquid, solid, paste, or slurry. The probes’ internal optics focus the light from a source on the wetted side of the window, thus eliminating the need to penetrate the sample for a reading. This concentrated focus and shallow penetration depth significantly reduces the inner filter effect when compared to other competitive optical devices.

Flow Cells

CST - Single-Use Fluorescence Flow Cell

Customers require a simpler way calibrate PX2/PX2+ units that are designed to measure fluorescence of low concentrations of sensitive proteins and chemicals.  It is typically the customer’s responsibility to create a concentration range of samples to calibrate the PX2/PX2+.  By use of a solid standard inserted into the single-use fluorescence flow cell, customers have a means of calibrating without introducing calibration samples into the flow cell.  The solid standard is correlated to a calibration curve which has been developed in advance.  This drastically improves the ease of validation and helps save time and money.  The PX2/PX2+ can store up to five calibrations in the included software package.  When switching to a new single-use flow cell, the user can easily calibrate by referencing the solid standard with a selected stored calibration.

CST - Flow Cell

The 3/8″ EZ-CAL Flow Cell provides users with a means of calibrating without having to introduce sensitive, volatile calibration solutions and gases into their process stream.  The flow cell features a slot where users can place a NIST traceable standard into the cell to calibrate and validate their process.  The cell offers SMA-905 connections for fiber optic cables.  The Dual EZ-CAL Flow cell can also be configured with two independent path lengths.  Available with path lengths from 1 – 100 mm.  Global patents pending.

CST - Sanitary Cross Flow Cells

We carry both ½” and 1″ sanitary cross flow cells with adjustable path lengths in a variety of construction materials (316 SS, Titanium, Hastelloy C-276, or another material per customer specification).  The cross flow cell is equipped with sanitary connections. The spectral properties of a sample can be measured when used in conjunction with our Optical Interface Couplers (OICs) and our PX2 photometer via SMA-905 connections.

CST - Cross Flow Cell

We carry both ?”  and ½” cross flow cells with adjustable path lengths in a variety of construction materials (316 SS, Titanium, Hastelloy C-276, or another material per customer specification). The spectral properties of a sample can be measured when used in conjunction with our Optical Interface Couplers (OICs) and our PX2 photometer via SMA-905 connections.

CST - Micro Cross Flow Cell

Our process-ready Fiber Optic Micro Cross Flow Cells facilitate industrial applications that require a short path length without restricting process flow. We carry a ?”, ?”, and ½” micro cross flow cells in a variety of construction materials. The spectral properties of a sample can be measured when used in conjunction with our Micro Optical Interface Couplers (mOICs) and a photometer via SMA-905 connections. Using the Fiber Optic Micro Cross Flow Cell and adjustable mOICs, high concentration samples can be measured with minimal pressure drop restricting the process flow.
