Thickness Gauges - Corrosion Thickness

Dakota - Ultrasonic Material Thickness Gauges

The Dakota CX Ultrasonic Material Thickness Gauges have all the features and functionality necessary for measuring material thickness and velocity on virtually any material - for a wide range of applications.

Dakota - Corrosion Thickness Gauges

The Dakota ZX Corrosion Thickness Gauges are basic thickness gauges making them affordable tools that require no special training to operate. The ZX Corrosion Thickness Gauge is available in four different models. Each thickness gauge provides the inspector with increasing functionality - from the entry level Dakota ZX1 Thickness Gauge, to the top of the range Dakota ZX6-DL Corrosion Thickness Gauge. Each Dakota ZX Thickness Gauge has been designed to withstand the harshest environments, made from an extruded aluminium body and is equipped with a LCD screen for improved visibility during sunlight.

Dakota - Corrosion Thickness Gauge

The Dakota MX2-DL Corrosion Thickness Gauge has large, easy to read displays and provides users with A and B-Scan options for accurate interpretation of measurements.

Dakota - Corrosion Thickness Gauges

Top of the range and easy to use, the Dakota CMX Corrosion Thickness Gauges provide inspectors with all the features necessary to measure the material and coating thickness at the same time.

The MX-1 will hold a single velocity, making it the perfect choice applications where only one material is being tested day after day. With the preset velocity in the gauge, you simply turn it on and go to work. The tool’s backlit display is easy to read, even in dim light conditions, and the unit operates for up to 200 hours on a single set of AA batteries. The MX-1 comes complete, ready to use, and is protected by Dakota Ultrasonics 5 year limited warranty.

Dakota - Corrosion Gauges

The MX-2 is ideal for the person that tests a few different materials regularly. The MX-2 contains 8 velocities of common materials and two velocities that the user can set using a simple sofware program. The tool’s backlit display is easy to read, even in dim light, and the unit operates for up to 200 hours on a single set of batteries. The MX-2 comes complete, ready to use, and is protected by Dakota Ultrasonics 5 year limited warranty.

Dakota - Corrosion Gauges

With the hand held MX-3 Ultrasonic micrometer, you can make reliable measurements or scan a length of material for the thinnest point. The tool’s backlit display is easy to read, even in dim light, and the unit operates for up to 200 hours on a single set of batteries. The MX-3 comes complete, ready to use and is protected by Dakota Ultrasonics 5 year limited warranty.

Flaw Detectors

Dakota - Handheld Flaw and Thickness Detector

The Dakota FX70 Flaw Detector is a versatile, handheld device integrating advanced flaw detection with material thickness measurement capabilities. It functions both as a thickness gauge, capable of measuring coatings and material thickness, and a flaw detector, identifying the size and position of flaws, differentiating between flaw types in various materials and welded joints. User-definable pass/fail limits with audible warnings and built-in differential mode enhance quality control inspections. With up to 4GB of memory, it stores each measurement for further analysis, downloadable via USB for comprehensive data management using DakMaster™ Software. The FX70 offers multiple display modes for different user needs, from A & B-Scan displays to specific flaw detection modes like TRIG, DAC, TCG, Flank, and Peak. It supports various detection methods, and features tools like time-corrected gain (TCG) for enhanced performance. Compliant with NIST traceable calibration and EN12668-1 standards, the FX70 is suited for both field and laboratory applications, providing thorough and reliable inspections.

Dakota - Benchtop Flaw Detector

The Dakota FX80 Benchtop Flaw Detector integrates advanced flaw detection technology with precise material thickness measurement capabilities, proving to be an essential tool for laboratory environments. It includes models FX80-DL and FX81-DL, both featuring time corrected gain (TCG) which compensates for sound attenuation, enhancing overall performance. The FX80 provides a comprehensive grid batching feature allowing the identification of inaccessible locations. It boasts a substantial 6GB internal memory, expandable up to 64GB via an external SD slot, with full data logging through RS232 output to DakMaster™ data management software. Various transducer options including Shear Wave, Single Element, and Transducer Wedges are available for diverse applications. The device adheres to stringent standards with factory calibration traceable to NIST and compliance with EN12668-1 for flaw detection. Its DakMaster™ integration facilitates smooth transition from inspection to detailed reporting, making it a reliable and efficient choice for non-destructive testing applications.

Precision Gauges

Dakota - Ultrasonics Precision Gauges for Coating Thickness Measurement

DAKOTA ULTRASONICS PX Series has arrived. The variety of features offered in the PX-7 and PX-7DL allow the user to select a quality tool that will meet or exceed their specific application needs. In the Echo-to-Echo Mode you have the ability to measure the thickness of materials without removing the paint or the coating. Our 5 year limited warranty indicates how we feel about the reliability and durability of the PX SERIES.The PX-7 is our basic precision gauge model. The PX series are packaged in an aluminum extruded body, with nickel plated aluminum end caps. The PX series gauges are typically used for thin material applications. This gauge has the ability to calibrate to a variety of different materials using a one point calibration option. Some of the features include: Scan feature (allowing the user to scan an area for the minimum thickness), alarm mode (audible & visual), differential mode (+/- from nominal thickness value), and RS232 port out.
