Intelligent Driver Access Control and Fleet Management Systems- TruckLOG

TruckLOG - Forklift Truck Speed Zoning System

Forklift truck speed zoning system - Stand-Alone or TK5 FMIS option. Forklift trucks travelling too fast in congested areas put people, products and infrastructure at risk. To ensure that trucks are moving at safe speeds in vulnerable areas, Davis Derby developed the TruckLOG Speed Zoning System.

TruckLOG - Truck Fleet Management Forklift System

TruckLOG Forklift Truck Fleet Management System is highly flexible and enables warehouse managers to efficiently utilise vehicles and drivers to improve safety and productivity.

TruckLOG - Fleet Management Information System

The management of materials handling vehicles, such as forklift trucks, represents major overhead costs to manufacturing, wholesale, retail and transportation businesses. These costs increase in the event of shock and damage-related incidents and unsafe driving. Using an effective fleet management software system improves monitoring and so helps to improve safety, productivity and profitability.

StedFAST - Universal Conveyor Protection Equipment & Systems

StedFAST - Emergency Stop Pull Key Systems for Conveyor Protection

The StedFAST Emergency Stop Pull Key Systems by Davis Derby Ltd are designed to ensure conveyor safety in various industrial settings, including quarries, mines, processing plants, ports, and railway depots. These systems are crucial for integrating and upgrading existing conveyor protection devices, supporting both new installations and retrofit applications. The system's primary component is the pull cable-operated safety switch, which adheres to BS EN ISO 13849-I PLe Category 3 standards for safety. This versatile technology serves as a dual-function device; it can be installed as a standard stop switch or adapted to serve as an emergency stop system, triggering a halt in conveyor operations during critical situations. By utilizing internal positive break micro-switches in conjunction with certified safety relays, the system ensures comprehensive adherence to emergency stop requirements across connected machinery. Designed with precision, each unit measures 303mm in length, 135mm in depth, 116mm in height, weighs 2.2kg, and includes easily accessible fixing hole centers.

StedFAST - Conveyor Belt Safety System

The Belt Alignment and Tear Device is designed to ensure efficient and reliable operation of conveyor systems by preventing belt misalignment and tears. Each complete transducer setup consists of two identical units positioned on either side of the conveyor. Key components include vertically mounted rollers made of nylon 66 or ceramic materials, which act promptly when belt misalignment occurs by engaging with the belt edge to trigger the rotary switch within the unit. This system offers versatile operation modes, accommodating both latching and non-latching functionalities. Safety is reinforced with enclosed dual plastic-coated steel wires providing tear protection, tailored to complement the belt curvature. The device's contact switch supports circuits up to 16 Amps and 250 volts AC, in compliance with ATEX standard EN 60079-11:2012, ensuring intrinsic safety. The unit's modular design allows adaptability for different conveyor widths by altering wire lengths and simplifies installation, as major parts are mounted laterally to prevent underbelt work.

StedFAST - Compact Probe Sensor for Mining and Minerals Handling

The Pease Probe Sensing Device is designed to cater to the requirements of the mining and minerals handling industries with its versatile capabilities. It features a compact, weatherproof, plastic-moulded enclosure that houses a microswitch and associated terminals. A flexible actuating probe is integral to the device, which triggers the microswitch when deflected sideways, making it ideal for use in applications such as monitoring blocked chutes. The device can be supplied in varying probe lengths of 12”, 18” or 24” while featuring an adjustable time delay of up to 15 seconds for the switching function. The microswitch is rated at 240 volts AC and 10 amps, and the device offers a single CM 20 20mm cable gland along with a 20mm tapped blanked-off entry for cabling needs. The Pease Probe is certified as intrinsically safe according to ATEX standard EN 60079-11:2012, ensuring protection against explosive atmospheres and suitability for use in intrinsically safe circuits.

StedFAST - Heavy Duty Back Spillage Detector for Conveyors

The Heavy Duty Back Spillage Detector is an innovative solution designed to mitigate the risk of spillage from conveyed minerals at critical points such as transfer stations and chutes. The system is made up of two similar units installed on either side of a conveyor where spillage might occur. Each unit features a paddle aligned with the edge of the conveyor belt. When spillage occurs, the paddle is pressed, activating a rotary switch within the unit. The detector can include an optional time delay feature to avoid unnecessary conveyor shutdowns due to momentary paddle depression from temporary material drops. The device employs a rotary switch with one normally open and one normally closed contact, with ratings of 16 Amps at 250V AC and 1 Amp at 125V DC. The unit supports cable entry through a CM 20 20mm cable gland and is certified as intrinsically safe under the ATEX standard EN 60079-11:2012 for explosive atmospheres. The system’s intrinsic safety allows it to operate with maximum voltage and current UI max at 50 volts and II max at 100mA, respectively.

StedFAST - Conveyor Belt Alignment Switch

The Stedfast Belt Alignment Switch is a durable device engineered for operational consistency and reliability in harsh environments such as mines and quarries. It serves as a critical safety component for conveyor systems, providing protection by detecting mis-alignments that could potentially damage the conveyor or its associated rollers. Installed in pairs at vulnerable points, the switch activates to halt the conveyor upon detecting misalignment, allowing preemptive corrective actions. The product is intrinsically safe, certified to the ATEX standard EN 60079-11:2012, and classified under 'Simple Apparatus'. It operates with a maximum voltage of 50 volts and a maximum current of 100mA in intrinsically safe circuits. The switch comprises a single-pole changeover micro-switch, rated at 250 volts AC and 10 amps, enclosed within a weatherproof plastic mold compatible with CM20 20mm cable glands. The assembly mounts on a steel channel, enabling visibly detectable alignment through an actuation arm that rotates upon activation.

MineWATCH - Digital Sequence and Slip Roller for Conveyor Systems

The Davis Derby MineWATCH Digital Belt Sequence and Slip Roller is engineered for enhanced conveyor management by facilitating easy sequencing and precise belt slip detection. Designed to mitigate spillage and provide early warnings of potential belt fires, the system features two models: a cantilever type for fully-loaded belts and a bottom belt type for integration adjacent to conveyor structures. In operation, the system employs a magnetic induction linkage to actuate an internal switch, with dual-directional switch contacts responding at preset speeds. It complies with ATEX EN 60079-11:2012 standards for intrinsically safe equipment, allowing it to safely manage circuit voltage and current parameters. Installation is simplified with a robust steel casing, offering convenient access to cable connections and speed adjustment settings. The cantilever model includes a sealed self-aligning bearing, while the bottom belt variant features sealed bearings at both ends, ensuring durability and reliability in demanding industrial environments.
