Dawaco was developed as software by Royal HaskoningDHV to meet the practical information needs of policymakers and consultants. Network operators use Dawaco to capture, validate and manage data on these monitoring networks. As of 2023, Dawaco has been acquired by Dawaco BV, a cooperation between Realworld Systems and Waterlabs, marking a new chapter in Dawaco`s development and deployment. This transition is designed to expand Dawaco`s capabilities and reach, so that it can continue to provide valuable support to environmental monitoring.
