DEME’s subsidiary Purazur focuses on the hi-tech treatment of industrial waste water and contaminated water in Belgium and abroad. Purazur’s sister company DEC takes care of water treatment in soil remediation projects, so the expertise of both companies represents a powerful combination.

The environmental companies of DEME have a long tradition in constructing and capping landfills, enabling our organisation to assist the client throughout the whole process, from drafting the design, to the management and aftercare of the landfill.

For more than 20 years, DEME’s daughter company DEC has been active in preliminary studies, the execution and aftercare of a wide range of hydraulic works, especially where special asphalt materials are used.

DEME’s environmental companies are specialised in remediating contaminated soil and groundwater. To achieve this, the soil is either completely excavated and processed off-site or the soil and groundwater are processed using in-situ techniques.
