Delete serves its customers at all stages of waste processing. Delete’s waste-management facilities receive and process utilizable construction, industrial and mixed waste efficiently and with consideration for the environment. In its waste management operations, Delete follows the terms of its environmental permits.We accept utilizable waste at the Rusko waste management facility, and at the Myllypuro and Juvanmalmi transit terminals. The Juvanmalmi processing plant handles liquid hazardous waste.

Delete Tutkimus is a consultation company that focuses on expert construction industry services covering the entire life cycle of the customers’ buildings.Delete Tutkimus’s special areas of expertise include the mapping of asbestos and hazardous substances, condition surveying and indoor air quality inspections. Delete Special Demolition is a member of the Finnish Asbestos and Dust Removal Association. We follow an ISO 9001-certified quality management system, an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system and OHSAS 18001-certified occupational health and safety management system. We have also been granted a certificate of competence by the Construction Quality Association (Rakentamisen Laatu RALA ry).

Delete Demolition Services handles the demolition of metals, concrete, bricks and steel elements in industrial environments with solid professional skill. We can also carry out mapping and demolition of hazardous substances (asbestos, mould, creosote, etc.). The demolished materials are sorted and recycled at Delete’s own waste management facilities, in compliance with the legal directives.

When cutting steel and reinforced concrete, sharp-edged abrasives are added to the high-pressure water-jet, allowing steel as thick as dozens of centimetres and reinforced concrete that is up to half a metre thick to be cut. Water-jet cutting causes no vibrations to the cutting target, and the amount of material waste remains very small, thanks to its narrow kerf. It also does not result in the release of any hazardous or toxic compounds during the cutting process.

Creosote, i.e. coal tar, is a toxic substance that was commonly used in old buildings, mostly as a water sealant in walls and floors. The PAH compounds that break down in creosote have very harmful health effects. When handling or dismantling creosote-treated materials, it is important to have good ventilation and protective gear. Breathing masks and vacuums should be equipped with active carbon filters. Waste is transported to hazardous waste centres. The work requires special expertise and only experienced companies in the field can carry out creosote demolition.Occupational health and safety officials require the use of various levels of protection, including when handling microbe-damaged materials.
