These two dynamic, non-balanced mechanical seals of the types 159 and 159 A are optimised for a wide range of applications. They convince through their versatile usability, low costs and short installation spaces. The two mechanical seal types differ only by their dimensions.

The type 140 is a dynamic, balanced mechanical seal. The outside mounted mechanical seal is useful above all where there is little space in the stuffing box - and has the advantage that no metal comes into contact with the medium. The type 140 is an inexpensive mechanical seal for use with aggressive media.

The type 191 is a stationary, balanced mechanical seal for use as an alternative to packings. The stationary design makes a longer service life possible on account of the lower face friction. A mechanical seal with which critical areas of application - for example, hot water or media containing abrasive solids - can be sealed easily and inexpensively.

The DEPAC mechanical seal type 270 is a stationary single-cartridge seal that is extremely well suited for conversions from gland packing to mechanical seal, since modification of the unit is not usually necessary. The stationary design principle developed by DEPAC for the process industry also offers maximum running reliability even in difficult ranges of applications for mechanical seals.

The type 270 P is a stationary single-cartridge seal with an additional safety seal. The DEPAC safety seal guarantees a high degree of process safety through targeted leakage if the mechanical seal fails. The advantage: The emergency seal ensures that operation can continue until the next planned maintenance - thus reducing the cost risk of a production standstill. The type 270 P is supplied as standard in the O-ring design version.

The types 321, 322 and 323 are stationary, tandem-active double cartridge mechanical seals with integrated barrier fluid pumping assistance. The double pressure balancing of the seal faces on the product side ensures one the one hand that the seal faces do not open in case of pressure reversal. and on the other that the balancing for reducing the friction values is present under all pressure conditions. The respective product versions differ by their seal chamber cross-sections.

The mechanical seal type 326 is designed for particularly large pumps, agitators, mixers and the like. Thanks to the design with "floating" seal faces, the mechanical seal is capable of absorbing extreme movements in the seal and maintaining the faces in an identical pressure ratio to each other.

Particularly large pumps, agitators, mixers, autoclaves, filters, calenders, fermenters and similar units with large shafts often have a tendency for the shafts to move very eccentrically. This applies both to axial, radial and pendulating movements. Conventional mechanical seals cannot cope with these extreme conditions. DEPAC offers the mechanical seal type 365 for such applications. Thanks to its unique design with "floating" seal faces, the mechanical seal is capable of absorbing these extreme movements in the seal itself and nevertheless always maintaining the faces in the same pressure ratio to each other. This mechanical seal operates reliably and fully independently of any shaft movements.

DEPAC has four optimised mechanical seals for the challenging boundary conditions of an agitator. The advantage: the flange and face parts as well as certain seal housing parts are exchangeable. The operator`s stock can thus be kept to a low level and a wide range of replacement parts is available.

The type 620 was developed in order to be able to offer an extremely cost-effective, asbestos-free alternative in the packing area, especially for the water sector. This packing guarantees high sliding capability and top flexibility and thus reduces shaft and sleeve scoring. This maintenance-friendly mode of operation results from the use of flexible ramie fibres in conjunction with high-quality PTFE lubrication. The extremely high proportion of PTFE also enables optimisation of the packing service lives.
