Diteco - H2S Analyzer System for Gaseous Streams
Measures H2S in continuous flowing and pressurized gaseous streams. Duty: To measure the concentration of H2S in a process gas stream. The principle of operation is as follows. A reel of paper tape impregnated with lead acetate is exposed to the gaseous process sample in the sample chamber. Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) in the process sample reacts with the lead acetate, after acidification, to form lead sulphide (PbS), a brown compound that stains the tape. The higher the concentration of H2S the darker the stain. A focused LED and single photo detector system continuously measures the darkening stain and the analyser reports this as a 4-20mA output of the concentration of H2S.

NovaSulf - Process H2S Analyser System
Duty: To measure the concentration of H2S in a process liquid stream, including the measurement of H2S in crude oil. The principle of operation is as follows. The Analyser consists of a stripping system coupled with a NovaSulf H2S Analyser. The liquid sample enters the top of an insulated, heated sample handling cabinet via a flow controller to maintain a constant sample flow. Nitrogen flows down a vertical tube to a sintered plug located within the liquid and then flows up through the liquid. As the nitrogen mixes with the liquid hydrocarbons it strips out the dissolved H2S in the liquid.

The DITECO 1801 Moisture Analyser can be utilised in a wide range of applications, in fact on most flowing gases where a fast, accurate measurement of trace water vapour content in a gas is required. Water vapour in the range 0 - 1,000 ppm can be measures with this analyser using an electrolytic cell. Water vapour is a notoriously difficult measurement to make as it adheres to stainless steel tubing, valves, filters etc. Diteco use chemically treated tubing to reduce the adherence of the water to the tubing.

As calibration cylinders of known moisture content are unstable and cannot be prepared with any accuracy or repeatability, Diteco developed an instrument capable of producing a known concentration of water in a carrier gas, typically nitrogen. It can be used to calibrate other moisture monitors, or as a stand-alone moisture monitor.

To measure O2 in permanent gases at the % level, and providing that there are no combustibles in the gas, a Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2) cell can be used. Ranges between 0-10ppm up to 0-98% O2 can be measured.
