Commissioning is an all-inclusive process for the planning, delivery, verification, and management of risks to critical functions performed in, or by, facilities. We have several certified commissioning agents on staff and utilize their experience and expertise in improving the energy efficiency, environmental health, occupant safety and indoor air quality of DLZ projects by making sure the building components are working correctly and that the plans are implemented with the greatest efficiency.

We bring clients a comprehensive understanding of the demolition/remediation/redevelopment process. One of the unfortunate by-products of our nation’s industrial heritage is the large number of contaminated former industrial sites. These potentially valuable sites remain underutilized due to concerns over liability and cleanup costs, thereby driving development and employment elsewhere while simultaneously depleting local property tax revenues.

Our planners, NEPA experts, resource specialists and engineers understand the environmental statutes and regulations associated with environmental compliance and hazardous materials services. We provide clients with complete solutions including feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and environmental impact studies. We are also experienced in hazardous waste removal, disposal and management including phase I and II ESA, underground storage tank management, and other services.

We have provided geotechnical engineering services for a wide range of structures such as high-rise office buildings, hospitals, wastewater treatment plants, bridges, shopping centers, tunnels, and numerous other structures.  We have also conducted analysis and design for a number of slope stabilization and seepage control projects throughout the Midwest.
