Its design includes suction cups with encoders on both X and Y axes, capable of recording the location of the TRM in real-time. This feature allows the acquisition of C-scan maps over a 50 x 50 cm area swiftly, with the setup process completed in under three minutes. Delivering versatility, the Rapid Mapper can operate as an indexed stitching tool or in a dual-axis encoded mode, scanning up to 1m² within four minutes. Weighing approximately 4 kg, it is made for efficiency and ease of transportation, coming in a resilient Pelicase.
