Several different types of Dorset Dryers are available. The choice depends on the desired capacity and the material that needs to be dried. After careful consultation, a decision is made on what type and design of Dorset Dryer suits the customer. Depending on the circumstances, this will result in either a customized dryer or a standard unit.

Dorset also has an excellent product for cleaning the air used in the drying process. During the last 15 years, Dorset has built up an excellent reputation in this area. Dorset Air Washers have been certified in various countries, amongst others by the German Agricultural Society (DLG). This experience was necessary for being able to develop special air washers for after the digestate drying process. Dorset air washers reduce ammonia, dust and odours. Both a production hall placement and a container dryer can be combined with Dorset air washers. With container dryers, the air washing unit can possibly even be installed in the container itself.

Separators For a pre-treatment of material that must be dried, Dorset can deliver several different separators. The type of separator that is used depends on the required processing capacity, and on the characteristics of the material that must be separated.

With the “Cascata” thickener, liquid with low dry matter content can be converted into a fluid with high dry matter content. The Cascata has the capability of increasing the dry matter content of a substance from 2 - 6% to 8 - 14%. This is an optimal treatment before further processing in a conveyor dryer, or for the reduction of the volume. The Cascata is especially suitable for drying liquid digestate.

Dorset can deliver an all-round installation for pellet production, which includes pelletization, hygienization, weighing and packaging. Pelletization of materials is used for producing a marketable and visually attractive organic fertilizer (or another product). Hygienization is frequently required for export. Dorset has long-term experience in the delivery of `turnkey` dryer installations, including facilities for pelletizing, hygienization and packaging. The pelletizing unit can be completely customized, or one can use one of our standard pellet production units, the Dorset `Korrelfabriek` (Pellet Factory).
