The SMIK sensor is mounted on the cylinder head, and requires special machining and KERADOUCE® coating on the rod. It enables the position of the rod to be determined with the utmost precision and reliability.

This equipment, mounted at the end of a cylinder, provides extremely accurate and reliable information on the position of the cylinder’s rod.

Developped by Douce-Hydro “Research & Development” team, KERADOUCE is a multilayer coating, waterproof and very hard, which is applied on the rods of hydraulic cylinders, and has an excellent corrosion resistance. It is homogeneous, uninterrupted, non conducting, flexible enough to support functional rod bending, and ecological. Since 1990, with thousands of hydraulic cylinders in use worldwide, our KERADOUCE coating  has proved its high efficiency and reliability.

The MetalteK® coating is applied on piston rods to prevent wear and corrosion in medium corrosive industrial environments. The mechanical characteristics (hardness: 1100 HV) and density of the coating provide a durable, very hard and dense surface with excellent sliding, wear and mating properties, as well as an excellent chemical corrosion resistance, thus resulting in a significant increase in the life of the hydraulic cylinders.
