The company was formed as Ground Test, a division of piling contractor Frankipile, in 1963 by the late Don Douglas and specialised in geotechnical engineering and site investigations. In 1983 senior staff bought the company and formed Douglas Partners as a geotechnical, environmental and groundwater consultancy.
The records, equipment and personnel were retained by the new company, which now operates Ground Test as a subsidiary for drilling and sampling.
Today Douglas Partners comprises a team of highly skilled engineers, engineering geologists, hydrogeologists, geophysicists, scientists, technicians and support staff.
Fifty Years Experience – Eighty Thousand Projects
Douglas Partners has accumulated a large body of information on site characteristics and ground conditions in many locations across Australia and in South East Asia.
Our database contains over seventy thousand completed project records readily accessible through our company’s computer network. This resource provides background knowledge and an understanding of both site specific and regional conditions, enabling Douglas Partners to provide quicker advice and solutions, and in many cases avoiding unnecessary costs for our client’s projects.
