Replaces sand in all filtration applications. AFM is manufactured from a specific glass type and processed to obtain the optimum particle size and shape. It is then activated to increase the surface area by 300 times over crushed glass or sand. The high surface area is negatively charged (zeta potential) to adsorb organics and small particles. It also has permanent metal oxide catalysts creating a high redox potential to make AFM self-sterilizing. AFM is the only activated glass filter media available, and is more efficient and cost-effective than any other filtration media. AFM is certified under Regulation 31 in the UK and International NSF61.It is also in compliance with European Water Directive (98/83/EC) & (80/778/EEC).

The ZPM amplifies the coagulation and flocculation reactions for the conversion and precipitation of dissolved components into small particles. The cavitation reactions provide the perfect mixing and turbulent environment necessary for coagulation.

AFM® Activated Filter Media is a direct replacement for sand, doubling the performance of sand filters without the need of additional investments in infrastructure. AFM® resists biofouling, biocoagulation and transient wormhole channeling of unfiltered water and never needs to be recharged or replaced. AFM® is a highly engineered product manufactured from a specific glass type, processed to obtain the optimum particle size and shape. It is then exposed to a 3-step activation process to increase its surface area by up to 300 times for superior mechanical and electro-static filtration performance.

The Dryden Aqua Air Diffuser is a semi-flexible, high-efficiency fine bubble air diffuser available in 9 different lengths, depending on the air, oxygen or carbon dioxide through-put required. It provides oxygen transfer rates of up to 5kg/kw, 10m3/h of air and 1 kg of O2/h. Its semi-flexible construction with its own internal ballast will stay on the bottom of the lagoon or pit without the need to be anchored to the floor. The Dryden Aqua Air Diffuser is quick and easy to install and can be maintained while air blowers are operating and water reservoir is full. The Dryden Aqua Air Diffuser combines excellent performance with cost effectiveness for aeration, oxidation and biological treatment.

ZPM by Dryden Aqua stands for «Zeta Potential Mixer». ZPM‘s are static mixers for the injection of products such as APF®, ACO® or NoPhos and for the cavitation of water. They are manufactured in stainless steel for freshwater and in titanium or plastic for marine applications. The ZPM is flanged into the pipework, the water is made to cavitate and spin at high speed which helps to kill parasites.The ZPM also helps to drop the zeta potential of the water, this causes flocculation of solids and increases the redox oxidation potential at the same time the water is becoming self sterilizing. The water molecules are pulled apart by the cavitation reactions which creates nano-bubbles. These help disinfecting the water. The greater the pressure differential across a ZPM, the stronger the cavitation reactions.

The Dryden Aqua  Oxygen Probe is a high performance and extremely robust oxygen probe for the measurement of oxygen in water and air. The probe provides for a low cost, easy maintenance sensor. Our probe is accurate down to 10ppb (0.01mg/l), and is as stable and as accurate as an optical probe but at a fraction of the cost. Also, with the Dryden Aqua Oxygen Probe there is only minimal maintenance required. The probe has a high mv out-put for PLC based controllers, the high out-put increases accuracy and reduces electrical noise problems. The unique shape provides a streamlined approach and minimizes water increases accuracy.

ACO® is an Active Catalytic Oxidiser that works by harnessing the natural energy of UV light from the sun to catalyse the formation of free radicals to increase the RedOx potential in the water. Free radicals are the active ingredients of ozone. They oxidise just like chlorine to remove pollutants but do not form noxious disinfection by-products. ACO® is not consumed in the process, it just makes what happens naturally much more efficient. In chlorinated systems ACO® also protects chlorine from photolysis by sunlight and makes it last three times longer in outdoor facilities. ACO® does the same as cyanuric acid, but instead of reducing oxidation capacity, ACO® increases the oxidation potential of the water.

The Dryden aqua flat plate ceramic oxygen diffuser is perhaps the most robust and most efficient oxygen diffuser available to the aquaculture industry. 1 x DAD6 diffuser will support 5 tonnes of salmon in a sea cage during sea-lice treatment with water temperatures below 15 deg C. At higher water temperature the biomass of fish that can be supported will be reduced. By way of example, at 24 deg C then one diffuser will support approximately 2 tonnes of biomass.

APF^® is a multi-spectrum coagulant and flocculant that removes pollutants from solution and flocculates fine suspended solids, such as skin cells and bacteria, into large particles that are easily removed by AFM^® (Activated Filter Media). No single flocculant or coagulant can remove everything from the water. APF^® is a precise combination of 6 different electrolytes and polyelectrolytes to cover the widest possible range. Dissolved constituents of water make up 80 % of the oxidation demand and suspended solids around 20%. Everything that is filtered out does not need to be oxidised. When the correct flocculation is used in combination with AFM^®, oxidation demand is reduced and RedOx potential increases. In chlorinated systems unwanted disinfection by-products are reduced by up to 80%.
