DUNMORE Aerospace STARcrest multilayer films, with engineered absorptance and emittance properties, are used in the manufacture of MLI insulation blankets for passive thermal control systems. These blankets are used for many applications on the spacecraft, such as structural members, instrumentation, antennas, radiators, wiring harnesses and sunshield covers. STARcrest multi layer films have been part of nearly all space programs worldwide since the mid 80`s and is widely used in US and European launch vehicles both government and privately operated.

Dunmore’s Kapton® tape is the standard for flight and ground applications in the aerospace industry. Its material properties with respect to mechanical strength, vacuum compatibility, electrical isolation, optical clarity, and high emissivity make the polyimide tape ideal for a host of applications. Our polyimide tape is the go-to material in aerospace integration and test environments. Polyimide tape often sees use in Ground Systems Engineering (GSE) applications like temporary / permanent tiedowns, blanket closeouts, FOD control, harness wrap, and thermal radiation sinks. One of the primary uses of polyimide tape is for wire harness applications. Since the Kapton® tape is electrically insulative and low outgassing, it is an ideal material as a harness wrap to protect electrical wires from abrasion and electrostatic discharge (ESD) events.

STARcrest™ electrostatic dissipative or antistatic films are engineered protective films designed for the storage and packaging of sensitive spacecraft equipment and components. Our electrostatic dissipative films are manufactured against a strict set of criteria for workmanship and cleanliness. Starcrest ESD films are held to the same high standards as our flight qualified MLI materials. Starcrest ESD films are commercially available in 1mil and 2mil thicknesses at widths up to 60" wide and with standard and customized finished roll lengths. DUNMORE proprietary printable film coating is designed to meet the special needs of the graphic arts industry. This versatile topcoated label film is compatible with solvent and water-base inks as well as UV-curable silkscreen, flexographic, and offset/letterpress inks. The label film is also thermal transfer printable with a wide variety of ribbons, and ideal for pressure sensitive labels, tags, packaging laminations, point of purchase displays, and promotional items.

DUNMORE digital print-receptive products contain a proprietary DUN-DIGITAL Indigo coating designed to meet the needs of the HP Indigo Press. DUNMORE`s coating has been Three Star Certified by Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), the highest certification rating for Indigo printing. The coating is transparent and is available on several base films including clear and white polyester film, white rigid vinyl, clear and white oriented-polypropylene film, and several polycarbonate base films. It is non-blocking with outstanding ink adhesion, rapid dry time and provides excellent print quality.
