Pre-Disturbance Planning & Assessment Services

Providing the appropriate pre-disturbance assessment of soil, landscape and vegetation, Ecoventure’s Agrologists, Biologists and technicians offer a level of industry expertise that supplies the decision makers with information required to do the right thing, right the first time. With experience conducting pre-disturbance assessments for well sites, facilities, and pipelines; soil surveys, water body assessments, and ecological management reports; and stream crossing and erosion control planning, Ecoventure is capable of handling all aspects of pre-disturbance planning to mitigate future potential effects of development.

Environmental Site Assessments Services

Ensuring that the facts are correct from the beginning is the only way to guarantee absolute and cost effective results. Ecoventure’s knowledgable and experienced staff conduct thorough Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. As part of Ecoventure’s Phase I ESA process, a complete reclamation inspection is conducted to effectively manage the reclamation program and expedite the certification process.

Biological Assessments Services

Biological assessments assist in the development process to help identify environmental sensitivities and to develop mitigative measures. Under the direction of a Professional Biologist, Ecoventure offers biological assessment services for a wide range of projects including Ecological Network Reports, Environmental Screening Reports, Natural Site Assessments, Species Biodiversity Reports (including songbird/waterfowl surveys and incidental invertebrate surveys), Ecological Land Classification and Community Typing, Vegetation Community Description and Rare Plants Surveys, Invasive Species Surveys and Management Plans, and Environmental Field Reports/ Enhanced Approval Process.  The completion of baseline surveys and implementation of mitigative measures are key steps in sustainable development, and ensure that regulations regarding invasive and sensitive species are followed.

Wetland Assessments Services

Ecoventure biologists and ecologists have extensive experience with wetland assessments, inventories and delineation across Western Canada. Involving a detailed look at soils, vegetation and hydrological regimes to properly classify and identify wetlands and water bodies, wetland assessments are a critical step in the development planning process and require accurate and effective results. Along with wetland assessments, Ecoventure can provide mitigation planning and the appropriate and required regulatory approval.

Urban Development Planning Services

Ecoventure provides  environmental planning for industrial, commercial and residential urban planning through-out the development process. This involves obtaining  approval from various regulatory bodies including municipal, provincial and federal jurisdiction. Urban development planning projects can range from small wetland retention projects to large scale neighbourhood planning.
