EEMS - Pre- & Post-Processor Software for the Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code

Our Graphical User Interface (GUI), EFDC+ Explorer (EE), was designed with the end user in mind. We knew that making any version of EFDC easier to use would be beneficial to the scientific community, so we created EE to make the EFDC modeling process smoother and more efficient. EE eliminates the need for you, the modeler, to spend hundreds of hours on tedious data input and text file editing.  Furthermore, you’ll no longer need an extensive knowledge of programming or a FORTRAN compiler. EE provides an easy, step-by-step process for building a model.

EEMS - Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code Software

Based on the Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC) originally developed in the late 1980s by Dr. John M. Hamrick, DSI’s EFDC+ has become the gold standard for water systems modeling.

EEMS - Curvlinear Grid Builder Software for EFDC

Grid+ is a new generation grid building tool. This new tool replaces our long-running grid building tool, CVLGrid . Grid+ has been designed to make the grid-building process quick, intuitive, and robust enough for even the most challenging waterbodies. It is fully integrated into EEMS and allows the user to move seamlessly between grid building and running models.

EEMS - Multipurpose Environmental Analysis System

Better Assessment Science Integrating point and Nonpoint Sources (BASINS) is a multipurpose environmental analysis system and has been made freely available by its developer, the US EPA. BASINS provides a convenient framework for integrating modeling tools and environmental spatial and tabular data into a geographic information system (GIS) interface. From the BASINS interface, you can automatically download vital data such as DEMs, hydrography, land use, meteorological data, monitoring data, and soil maps from EPA, USGS.
