This class will provide the student with a qualitative understanding of assessment considerations specific to commercial roofing. The student will be provided with information on roofing systems, design considerations, and qualitative testing and inspection techniques. Case studies will be used to illustrate damage types, and repair vs replace analysis.  

This class will provide the student with an overview of the analysis and engineering evaluation required by many Municipalities and the Building Codes for the reuse of a slab-on-grade foundation for construction following a storm event or fire.

This class will provide the attendee a qualitative understanding of residential foundation design and performance characteristics. The attendee will be provided with information on the evaluation of the causes of common foundation problems and methods to repair them. This course will provide information intended to enhance the attendee`s ability to acquire and evaluate information during the claims adjustment process.

The licensee will obtain knowledge of how hail is formed and the physics of the impact damage that can occur as a result of the various factors that are present on a typical residential composition shingle roof. The licensee will be able to identify the types of roof damage that can be caused by hail strikes and other non-hail events.

This course will provide an understanding of water vapor properties and its movement, importance of proper humidity control, harmful effect of excessive moisture on common building materials, causes of condensation and the design and construction factors influencing moisture movement in buildings.

This class will provide the student with a qualitative understanding of residential foundation design and performance characteristics. The attendee will be provided with information on the engineering process used to evaluate the performance and condition of residential foundation, which will enhance the attendee`s ability to acquire and evaluate information during the claims adjustment process.
